Privacy policy

Last updated September 14, 2026

Hito is an iPhone and Android app that records conversations, recognizes who is speaking, and follows topics over time. It is in private testing today. This policy says what data it keeps, why, who else processes it, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

The short version

  • Hito records only when someone presses record.
  • We use recordings to give you the record of your meetings. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
  • A voice becomes a person only when someone confirms it.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time. We do it within 30 days.

Who is responsible

Hito belongs to SENSEWORK AI LLC, San Francisco, California, United States. For any question about your data, write to hello@hito.one.

When a company or organization uses Hito, it decides what is recorded and who sees it. We process that data on its behalf.

What data we keep

From the app:

  • The audio of the meetings you record, and any photos you take during a recording.
  • What we need to send notifications to your phone: a notification identifier, the phone's operating system, and the app version.

In the service:

  • Transcripts, with the time of every word.
  • Speakers and voice profiles: voice samples and the characteristics that let a voice be recognized in another meeting.
  • Projects, meetings and their analysis: summaries, topics over time, individual performance and group dynamics.
  • Actions and commitments, with their owner and date.
  • The name and email of the people in each project.
  • The emails Hito sends about actions and commitments, with open and click data: the time, the IP address and the browser.
  • A log of the requests Hito makes to language models, with the text sent and the response.
  • If you connect your Gmail account, the access permissions, stored encrypted.

On hito.one:

  • If you leave your email to ask for access, we keep that email, the page you left it on, the campaign details that brought you, and an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address. Nothing else.
  • This site uses no advertising or analytics cookies.

What we use it for

  • To transcribe, recognize who is speaking, and build the record and analysis of your meetings.
  • To send the summaries, notifications and commitment emails your team turns on.
  • To answer you and set up your access to the app.

We do not sell data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your recordings to train models.

Who else processes the data

Hito's service and files run on a server managed by SenseWork. These outside services receive part of the data to do their job:

  • AssemblyAI (United States): transcribes the audio and separates the speakers. It receives the audio.
  • Amazon Web Services S3 (United States): keeps a temporary copy of the audio while it is transcribed. The copy is deleted when that finishes.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini: write the summaries and analysis and describe photos. They receive the transcript text and the photos.
  • Mailgun: sends Hito's emails. It receives the addresses and the content of each email.
  • Apple and Google Firebase: deliver notifications to your phone. They receive the phone's identifier and the notification text.
  • Google and Telegram: if you connect Gmail or Telegram, those services receive what that connection needs.
  • Vercel: hosts hito.one. It receives the technical data of each visit, such as the IP address.
  • Google Fonts: serves hito.one's typefaces. It receives the browser's IP address.

Voice

Hito recognizes voices from one meeting to the next. To do that it keeps voice samples and the characteristics of each voice. In some places this counts as biometric or sensitive data.

A voice becomes a person only when someone confirms it. Until then, Hito shows it as "Speaker 4". You can ask us to delete your voice profile at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as your company's account is active. You can ask us at any time to delete recordings, transcripts or a voice profile. We delete them within 30 days and confirm by email.

Security

  • Everything that travels between the app, the site and the service is encrypted.
  • Gmail permissions are stored encrypted.
  • Each project has its members and roles. Only they see its meetings.
  • On the phone, a recording stays in the app's private storage until it uploads, protected by the phone's own encryption.

Hito is in private testing. If you find a security problem, write to hello@hito.one.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or object to our using it. Write to hello@hito.one. If your company uses Hito, you can also ask your company.

If you are in Chile: Law 19.628 on the protection of private life gives you the right to access your data, correct it, and ask for it to be deleted. Law 21.719, in force from December 2026, adds the right to object to its use and to take it to another service. We handle these requests within the same 30 days.

Changes

If we change anything important in this policy, we publish it here, with the new date, before it takes effect.
